Project Engineer/Assist Project Manager

Job Descriptions:

Blue Rock is looking for a Project Engineer/Assist Project Manager for our Burlington, NJ office. We are a full service Contracting and Construction Management firm dedicated to take any commercial construction project from the concept stage through entire design, construction and occupancy phases. Our services, custom-tailored to meet the specific needs of each client, include complete Construction Management, General Contracting, Project Management and Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or review construction contracts.
  • Assist with the project estimates and bids through coordination of a competitive bid process.
  • Maintain project manuals and files.
  • Maintain the RFI log and assist in answering RFI's.
  • Process the shop drawings and review the drawings to ensure they conform to the contract documents.
  • Maintain and update the shop drawings log.
  • Assist in assembling weekly and monthly flash report.
  • Process the trade contractor change orders.
  • Maintain Change Order Log.
  • Issue the contract amendments.
  • Monitor critical delivery of material.
  • Answer technical questions and support the field with RFI's.
  • Interface with the consultants.
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in developing a Q/A plan.
  • Familiar with all forms of project controls including scheduling and cost control.
  • Expedite with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Reviewing and maintaining contract documents.
  • Support the Project Manager on an "As Required" basis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five (5) years of construction experience.
  • An outgoing, dynamic, high-energy individual
  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain successful client relations.
  • A team player with a track record of good judgment and common sense.
  • A results-oriented individual with a bias toward action and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong Computer software application skills.
  • Project Management database experience a plus.
  • Microsoft Project experience a plus.
