The Challenge:
To perform a two-story 35,000 square-foot renovation of an occupied commercial office building. The renovation challenge of this occupied building included core areas, building systems and restrooms. The entire project had to be completed within 12 weeks of its inception including the most challenging aspect of the project; a 10,000 square foot computer laboratory space.
Our Strategy:
Blue Rock Construction planned the project in two phases. The project began with the first floor renovations followed by the second floor, which was occupied throughout most of the first phase. Working closely with the project designers and the client, Blue Rock Construction was able to execute the planned construction schedule by closely monitoring the critical path and aggressively stacking and coordinating construction activities.
Results:
A successfully phased construction and move-in coordination program was completed whereby Cisco System initiated their data operations on schedule. Their move-in was aided and expediited by the presence and oversight of Blue Rock Construction personnel who remained on the site to handle any facility-related issues that typically arise during a move-in process. The client's budget was met and the closeout process was executed quickly and seamlessly.
