Project Description

The Challenge
Completely demolish and replace the existing store facade in a large active retail space, while maintaining pedestrian and vehicular access. Installation of Old Navy’s signature marquee facade required difficult installation of structural reinforcement and large-scale masonry demolition.

Our Strategy
To meet Old Navy’s schedule requirements and desired date of occupancy, Blue Rock implemented an aggressive buyout of structural reinforcement and detailed planning of safe travel areas for pedestrians. This allowed Blue Rock to decrease the anticipated duration of the demolition phase and quickly install new structural components while providing a safe shopping environment.

Results
A successful fast-track project was produced only by identifying critical schedule components with an aggressive buyout. This informed approach allowed Old Navy to occupy their retail space ahead of schedule.

The Client
With over 800 stores, Old Navy, a Gap Inc. brands store, has seen unprecedented retail clothing sales, being the first retailer in history to achieve $1 billion in sales in fewer than four years.
