Blue Rock-Heart of Nuba Golf Outing Raises $238,920

It was another beautiful day at Makefield Highlands Golf Course for the ninth annual Blue Rock-Heart of Nuba Golf Outing, as friends, colleagues, and partners came together under perfect skies to support Dr. Tom Catena and his incredible mission in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan.

Dr. Catena, the only surgeon for hundreds of miles, remains a 24/7 lifeline for hundreds of thousands in one of the most underserved and unstable regions in the world.

With 144 golfers, guests, and generous sponsors, Blue Rock raised $119,460, and the Blue Rock Charitable Foundation is proud to match that amount, bringing the total donation to $238,920. EVERY DOLLAR goes directly to support Dr. Tom’s lifesaving work.

Blue Rock President Steve Kettelberger thanks everyone who helped make this year’s golf outing a success.

Since the event began in 2017, the outing has now raised more than $1.5 million for Dr. Tom’s mission, a remarkable collective achievement that continues to make a lasting impact for the people of Nuba.

We were once again honored to welcome Matt Smith, Senior Vice President for the Sudan Relief Fund, who shared meaningful updates about Dr. Tom’s ongoing efforts and the lives being changed through this mission.

It was truly a wonderful day of golf, camaraderie, and shared commitment to a worthy cause that reflects Blue Rock’s spirit of giving back.

We are already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year for another great day in support of the Heart of Nuba.
