Blue Rock, Shoreline Freezers Partner On Major Cold Storage Expansion

Strong partnerships are at the heart of great projects, and Blue Rock Construction is proud to be working alongside Shoreline Freezers on a major cold storage expansion in Bridgeton, N.J.

Shoreline’s trust in Blue Rock to deliver this critical growth project speaks to a shared commitment to quality, coordination, and long-term success. That collaboration is showing in the progress being made on site.

Blue Rock is making excellent progress on the 102,000-square-foot expansion, which is on track for a March turnover.

Once complete, the new state-of-the-art facility will significantly enhance Shoreline Freezers’ operational capabilities and support its continued growth across the region.

The project is designed with performance and efficiency in mind, featuring a freezer area maintained at 0°F to -5°F, along with a 45°F cold-storage dock to streamline temperature-controlled logistics.

In addition to expanded cold storage, the facility will include a two-story office area, 17 dock positions to support increased shipping and receiving volume, and a dedicated battery-charging area for Shoreline’s freezer lift equipment.

One of the most impressive aspects of this project is that Shoreline has kept operations running at full speed while the expansion moves forward. That kind of complexity requires careful planning, constant communication, and a true partnership approach.

Each step forward brings the project closer to unlocking new cold storage capacity that will strengthen Shoreline’s ability to serve customers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

When the expansion comes online, it will more than double Shoreline’s capacity.

It’s exciting progress for a great partner, and Blue Rock is looking forward to seeing Shoreline Freezers up and running with all that new space.
