Blue Rock Construction celebrated a decade of generosity and giving at its 10th annual Blue Rock–Heart of Nuba Golf Outing, continuing a remarkable tradition of supporting Dr. Tom Catena and his lifesaving medical mission in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan.
Held at Makefield Highlands Golf Course in Yardley, Pa., the event once again brought together business partners, sponsors, golfers, and friends united by a shared commitment to making a difference.
This year’s outing has already raised $115,330, with the Blue Rock Charitable Foundation matching that amount, bringing the total donation to $230,660. Every dollar goes directly to support Dr. Tom’s work.
Since the inaugural outing in 2017, the event has now raised more than $1.73 million, a milestone reflecting the extraordinary generosity and continued support of Blue Rock’s business partners, friends and the broader community.
Dr. Tom, an American physician who has dedicated his life to serving the people of the Nuba Mountains, provides critical medical care through Mother of Mercy Hospital in one of the world’s most isolated and underserved regions.
As Sudan’s ongoing humanitarian crisis places increasing demands on the hospital, contributions from events such as the Blue Rock–Heart of Nuba Golf Outing are more important than ever, helping provide lifesaving treatment to thousands of people in desperate need.
The event also welcomed back Matt Smith, senior vice president of strategic partnerships and development for the Sudan Relief Fund, who shared an update on Dr. Tom’s mission and the meaningful impact of Blue Rock’s fundraising efforts.
What began as a charitable golf outing a decade ago has grown into an enduring tradition of generosity, compassion, and community partnership.
