In a remarkable show of generosity and support, the eighth annual Blue Rock-Heart of Nuba Golf Outing successfully raised $136,985, with Blue Rock Charitable Foundation matching the amount, bringing the total to an impressive $273,970.
All funds will go directly toward supporting Dr. Tom Catena’s lifesaving medical mission in the remote Nuba Mountains of Sudan.
Dr. Catena, the only surgeon for hundreds of miles in this war-torn region, provides critical care to underserved populations, and these funds will help him continue his vital work.
Over the past eight years, the Blue Rock-Heart of Nuba event has raised more than $1.3 million, underscoring the unwavering dedication of supporters who have united behind this cause.
A special highlight was the return of Matt Smith, senior vice president of strategic partnerships and development for the Sudan Relief Fund, as the guest speaker. Smith offered an insightful update on Dr. Catena’s mission, reaffirming the profound impact that these donations have on the lives of countless people in the Nuba Mountains.
